On Sunday October 22nd, 2023, a memorial to honor those firefighters who passed away over the year. We thank Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery for presenting this monument to our hero's who have gone before us in recognizing their names on the memorial stone.

83 year old retired firefighter Charles Henry joined the Ottawa Fire Department in 1959 earning the badge 298. Enjoy his enriching stories of his time on the fire department.

Platoon Chief John Carriere was influential on the Ottawa Fire Department. John was one of the founding members of the Bytown Fire Brigade. On July 13 2018 John passed away with family by his side.
