DEATH NOTICE: Kristina Mary Ann Lafrance, sister of OFS Public Information Officer, Nick Defazio and grand daughter of ROFFA member Pat DeFazio passed away at age 51

March 25, 1974 - January 14, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kristina Mary Ann Lafrance, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on January 14, 2026, at the age of 51.

Kristina was a devoted mother to Kyle Misener (Erika), Alyssa MacMillan (Myles), and Emma Misener, and a proud grandmother to Lane Misener, whom she adored. She also held deep love for her two grandsons in heaven, Karson and Archie MacMillan.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Marion and Edward Lafrance of Shawville, Quebec.

She is survived by her brothers Brad Defazio and Nick Defazio (Andrea); her grandparents Shirley and Jerry (Pat) Defazio; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Kristina will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and deep love for family and friends including her best friend, Shirley.

Above all, Kristina was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Professional services have been entrusted to the care of Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew where visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm. A brief period of visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00pm until time of service in the Zohr Family Chapel at 1:00pm. Followed by a celebration of life held at the Renfrew Armouries Hall from 3:00PM until 8:00PM.
