DEATH NOTICE: Nora Templeton, mother of firefighter Matt Templeton (Station 94) passed

May 8, 1959 - February 3, 2026

Nora Templeton passed away peacefully at Southbridge Kemptville on February 3, 2026. She was the beloved wife of John Templeton and a loving mother to Matt (Laura), Craig (Leigh), Kaylee, and Natalie. She was an adoring grandmother to Anna, Audrey, Alice, Myles, and Reese.

Nora was the dear daughter of the late Aloysius and Isobel Clancy (née McClave) and a caring sister to Ann Hoy (the late Clifford), Frances Rose (Jean-Guy), and Colleen McKiver (Jim). She was predeceased by her sister Mary Rioux (survived by Ghislain) and her brother Emmet. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Robert Templeton, and is fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and friends.

 Born and raised in St. Andrews, Ontario, Nora married John in 1984 and moved to Kemptville, where they built a life together, farming and raising their family.

The family extends special thanks to the caregiving staff at Bayfield and Southbridge Kemptville for their efforts, kindness, and wonderful care given to Nora.

Family and friends may visit the Kemptville Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Thursday February 19, 2026, from 1 pm to 3 pm & 7 pm to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Church, 503 Clothier Street West, Kemptville on Friday February 20 at 2 pm.

In memory of Nora, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Kemptville District Hospital.
