A memorial gathering to honour his life will be held at Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Whales Drive, Nepean, On, on Friday November 10, 2023 from 1pm to 3pm. Private family inurnment to follow.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Alasdair (Al) Binnie on October 17, 2023.
Al was a proud member of the Ottawa Fire Department from 1984-2014, where he retired as Captain at Station 34 - Brookfield Road. His brothers in the OFD were his second family.
Predeceased by his parents Harry and Dorothy Binnie.
Dear brother and sister in law, Rod and Judie. Loving uncle of Carleigh (Jason) Meehan, Laura Binnie, and Callum (Melissa) Binnie. Beloved great uncle of Cameron, Rozalyn, Easton, Lily and Evelyn. Al will be fondly remembered by family in Scotland and USA and many long time friends.
