ROFFA member/former District Chief Bruce Foster passed away

Peacefully in Hospital on Wednesday February 1, 2023 Bruce Foster at the age of 79. Loving Husband of Bonnie (Wallace). Proud father of Bruce Jr. and step-father of Shawn (Natasha) and Corinna Murdoch. Cherished Boo Boo of Owen and Cole Murdoch. Dear brother of Doreen Foster and the late Dick (Gayle) and Diane (late Preben Jensen). Son of the late Garner and Doreena ‘Dot’ Foster. Fondly remembered by Betty Ann Foster and many nieces and nephews. Bruce will be remembered for his big heart, always there to help others and his relentless volunteering efforts. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. on Wednesday February 8, 2023 from 4-8 pm. Further funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations to CHEO Foundation, 415 Smyth Rd, Ottawa, ON K1H 8M8 would be most appreciated by the family.

Bruce will be remembered for his Big Heart, always there to help others and his relentless volunteering efforts for so many different charities throughout his firefighting career and during his retirement such as the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign, the Canteen Truck aka Frontline One, Muscular Dystrophy, the CHEO Duck Race, the CHEO BurnA very proud member of the Ottawa Fire Service and ROFFA, Bruce will also be remembered for his Big Heart, always there to help others and his relentless volunteering efforts for so many different charities throughout his firefighting career and during his retirement such as the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign, the Canteen Truck aka Frontline One, Muscular Dystrophy, the CHEO Duck Race, the CHEO Burn unit, the CHEO telethon, the Help Santa Toy Parade and more.
