UPDATE -ROFFA MEMBER/FORMER DISTRICT CHIEF ALLEN BROWNLEE PASSED AWAY

Born: Oct. 23, 1943 Joined OFD: May 10, 1965 Retired: Jan. 15, 2002 Died: June 21, 2023

He was the brother of the late OFS member Des Brownlee and the late NFD member Clayton Brownlee, uncle to the late OFS members Gary and Wayne Brownlee and cousin to the late NFD member Keith Brownlee. Obituary of Allen Brownlee Retired Ottawa Firefighter-District Chief of over 37 years. Sadly Allen passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the age of 79. Beloved husband for over 57 years to Denise (nee Berthiaume). Cherished father of Stephanie and Julie (Dave Ellis). Loving and proud Grandpa to Sarah, Ryan and Lauren. Allen is predeceased by his parents Freeman and Kathleen Brownlee and his siblings Frank, Shirley, Clayton (survived by wife Pat), Mary, Desmond, Kathleen and Donald. He will also be missed by the Berthiaume family, his nieces and nephews and many friends. Allen devoted his life to his family and proudly served as an Ottawa Firefighter. He enjoyed his retirement in Constance Bay, his favourite place, along the Ottawa River.\ Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Highland Park Chapel (2037 McGee Side Road, off Carp Road) until the time of the Memorial Service at 12 pm in the Highland Park Chapel, Rev.
