DEATH NOTICE: Gail Russell, wife of ROFFA member Don Russell passed away.

(nee Longchamps)July 9, 1942 – September 28, 2025

With sadness, the family announces that Gail passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning, September 28, 2025. Gail Edna Russell of Arnprior was 83 years of age.

Beloved wife and best friend of Don. Dearly loved mother of Kevin Brophy (Marie Babineau), Keith Brophy (M. J. McCaffrey), late Kenneth Brophy (Cathy Cockburn),

Kimberly Cromwell (John) and Kelly-Ann Couturier (Barry Backstead)

and step-mom of Ronalee Russell (Dave Parks) and Angie Russell.

Cherished and forever loved by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Bill and Edna (Hoffman) Longchamps.

Gail was a longtime employee of Dominion Food Stores. Her pleasant demeanor, quick wit and excellent customer care allowed her to bring a smile to many over the years. Bowling and playing Bingo were but a couple of the things that brought great joy to Gail. She will be missed by the many who had the pleasure to call her friend.

Gail’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior where visitation will be held on Thursday afternoon, October 2^nd

from 2 to 4 p.m. only.
