DEATH NOTICE: ROFFA member/former Captain Robert (Bob) Tremblay passed away today following a courageous battle with cancer

Born: February 29, 1940

Joined OFD: January 4, 1960

Retired: January 31, 2000

Deceased: March 13, 2025

As per the wishes of Bob’s widow Carole, members are welcome to attend in their uniform.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert Tremblay on March 13, 2025, at the age of 85.  He was the husband of Mrs. Carole Charron, the son of the late Aurèle Tremblay and of the late Jeannette Tremblay.

Besides his wife, he leaves his brother John (the late Lois), his sister Suzanne, his sisters-in-law Nicole (Gary Gibson), Charlaine (Jim), Anne and his brother-in-law Guy as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends.  He was predeceased by his son Steven.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 2 pm at LA COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS, 1369 La Vérendrye Boulevard West in Gatineau. The family will receive condolences as of 1:15 pm.  It will be possible to view the ceremony, live or by replay, via https://commemora.tv/fr/diffusions/104642  In case of a technical problem, it will be possible to view at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to La maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie would be appreciated.
