Robert Leonard Brennan

June 15, 1939 – October 20, 2025

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert (Bob) Leonard Brennan on October 20, 2025, at the age of 86.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Ottlie Brennan, and his sister, Sister Patricia Brennan. He was the devoted and loving husband of Joan Brennan for 66 wonderful years.

Proud father of Terry (Gayle), Jim (Sheilagh), and Dan (Melanie), Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He was a cherished grandfather to Madison (Dallas), Sierra (Tom), Kylie (Gary), and Makenna, who will forever remember his humour, kindness, and stories.

Bob served his community with honour and pride as a member of the Ottawa Police Service for 31years. His dedication, integrity, and laughter left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews, his brother-in-law Bill Levesque (Linda), and sister-in-law Pat Taylor.

Bob had an undeniable passion for life, laughter, and family. His loyal friendship spanned decades — especially with his lifelong pal Eddy Roccano. His mornings at Tim Hortons with Dan and Steve won’t be the same without his stories and good-natured humour.

Now reunited with his old buddies, Bob will no doubt be playing pool, swapping stories, and cheering on his beloved Ottawa Senators and Toronto Blue Jays — letting the shenanigans begin once more.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at May Court Hospice for their care and kindness.

Friends are invited to gather at Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 11 am until time of service in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to May Court Hospice at 114 Cameron Ave., Ottawa would be greatly appreciated.
