Peacefully and surrounded by family, James Scrivens joined The Great Jam Session In The Sky at the age of 81. He will be lovingly remembered by Jaqueline, his wife and soulmate of 59 years; daughter Lorena (Edward), grandsons Levon (Katie) and Corbin. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Dorothy. James was born in Ottawa in 1941 where he met his wife in 1956 at the age of 15. In 1966 he began a proud career with the Nepean Fire Department, retiring as Captain in 1997. In his retirement years James achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a Florida beach bum. He will be remembered by all for his sense of humor, contagious laughter and his musicianship. Friends may pay respects at Kelly Funeral Home – Carling Chapel 2313 Carling Avenue 613-828-2313 from 2:00 – 4:00pm, on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
