Born: Joined NFD: November 17, 1969 Retired: December 31, 2004 Died: May 25, 2023 Gerald "Jerry" Casey Jerry passed away suddenly at his home in Carleton place on Thursday May 25th 2023 at the age of 73 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Terry Casey (Kelso) and is also survived by his children Gregory (deceased), Lisa (Marc) and Michael (Deborah). Jerry was the beloved Grandfather of Nickolas, Jack, Levi, Vincent, Felicity (Deceased), Michael and Henry. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Michael and Irene Casey and his brothers Desmond, Lawrence, Michael, Bill and his sister Catherine. He is survived by his brothers John (Theresa), Patrick (Sharon) and his sister-in-law Marlene. He will be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, their extended families and his many friends. Jerry retired as a Platoon Chief from the Ottawa Fire Department with 35 years of service. Friends may pay their respects at Kelly Funeral Home- Barrhaven Chapel, Thursday June 1st from 7-9pm. A Mass in Memory of Jerry will be held on Friday June 2nd in St Patrick’s Church Fallowfield at 11:00 am. Internment at Parish Cemetery, reception to follow in church hall.
